AVA – James R. Bramlett, 62, of Ava, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
Jimmy was born in Cairo, Illinois, on October 9, 1954, the son of John Jacob and Katherine Elizabeth Stumpf Bramlett. He previously worked at Food Giant in Sikeston, Missouri.
Jimmy is survived by his children, Jimmy Bramlett of Steeleville, IL, Lesli Bramlett of Freeburg, IL, Jeremy Bramlett of Chester, IL, Cody Kempfer of Herrin, IL, Starr Bramlett of Energy, IL, Colt Bramlett of Murphysboro, IL, Dawson Shell of Herrin, IL and Daviah Shell of Herrin; grandchildren, Gabby, Kai, Alyssa, CJ, Liliana, Mercedes, Kaiden, Braylyn, Alayna, Aleah, Mackenzie, Camden, Samantha, Megin, Preston, Logan, Kendall, Levi, Mackenzie and Logan; brothers, Jake Bramlett of Statesville, IL, Philip Bramlett of Ava, IL, Malloy Bramlett of Murphysboro, IL, Butch Bramlett of Ava, IL, and Sam Bramlett of Huebert, NC; and sisters, Mary Gale of Millington, TN, Betty Bramlett of Murphysboro, IL and Susan Stanley of Sparta, IL.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; two sisters, Linda Thies and Sharon Bramlett; one brother, John Bramlett; and one grandson, Gavin.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, with Rev. Thomas E. Bevis officiating. Burial will follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava, Illinois. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where family and friends may call from Noon until 2 pm. Memorials may be given to a Love Fund for the Family to help with funeral expenses.
