CHESTER, James H. Beck, 55, of Chester, passed away at 10:40 P.M. Monday, December 27, 2010, at Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, IL. He was born April 05, 1955 in Chester, Illinois the son of Harlan Beck and Della (Copple) Beck. James married Janet L. Romay on February 14, 1996 in Chester, IL. He is survived by his wife Janet L. Beck of Chester, IL; daughter: Angel Kempfer of Chester, IL; Son-in-law: Tim Kempfer of Chester, IL; two grandchildren: Nicholas Kempfer and Bailey Jean Kempfer; two sisters: Patty Vasquez of Ellis Grove, IL and Marge Beck of Bonne Terre, MO; two brothers: Bill Beck of Sparta, IL and Bobby Beck of Monroe City, MO. He preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Beck served in the U.S. Marine Corp , during the Vietnam Conflict . James worked in Project Crew Maintenance at Gilster Mary Lee Corp, Perryville, MO. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 31, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Chester, Illinois. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Thursday from 5-8 PM and then on Friday from 7:30 until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to Love Fund for the Family.
