MURPHYSBORO - Jacob Daniel Brown, 32 of Murphysboro, Illinois passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023 at his home in Murphysboro. Jacob was born in Carbondale, Illinois, on January 19, 1991, the son of Jeff and Suzi Underwood Brown.

Jacob was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Murphysboro, Illinois. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues and Texas Longhorns.

Jacob is survived by his parents Jeff and Suzi Brown of Murphysboro; brother Levi Brown of Murphysboro; sister Tori (Josh) Herring of Springfield, IL; niece Laela Herring; nephew Jameson Herring; great grandmother Phoebe Underwood; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jacob was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jack and Barbara Brown, and maternal grandparents Tommie and Corky Underwood; one aunt, Maryann Brown; two uncles Bobby Brown and Stan Underwood; and Cousin Lily Brown.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 30, 2023, at St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery, in Murphysboro, IL with Father Joel Seipp officiating. There will be a Celebration of Life to follow at The Elks in Murphysboro, IL.  Memorials may be given to the family and can be mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, P.O. Box 277 Ava, IL 62907.
