Obituary

SPARTA – Jack Lee Wray, 79, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Boone County Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Jack was born in Litchfield, Illinois, on June 14, 1940, the son of the late James and Mary Semanek Wray.  He married Billy Lee Barber on June 2, 1963 in Sparta, Illinois.  He was a retired Medical Lab Technician at Kirksville, Missouri.  Jack was a Veteran of the US Air Force and served from October 1962 to October 1966.  He was a devoted Dodgers fan.

Jack is survived by his wife, Billy Lee Wray of Columbia, MO; children, Tammy Lee (Sean) McMenemy, of Overland Park, KS, and Mark (JoAnn) Wray of Columbia, MO; three grandchildren, Ashley (Joey) Parks, Kelsey (Sam) Reitz and Brandon Wray; three great grandchildren, Emma Grace Parks, Avri Faith Parks and Josephine Louise Reitz; aunt, Ardellia Semanek of Williamson, IL; brother, Terry (Debbie) Wray of Livingston, IL; and brother-in-law, Paul (Patti) Barber of Gillette, WY.

Jack was preceded in death by his Parents.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm, Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, with Rev. Curt Rabe officiating.  Burial will follow at Caledonia Cemetery, Sparta.  Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 11:30 am until 1 pm Sunday.  Memorials may be given to St. Jude's, American Red Cross or Make A Wish Foundation.
