STEELEVILLE, Jack W Ruby, 84, of Steeleville, passed away at 6:49 AM Sunday, August 12, 2012, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born July 20, 1928 in Arcola, Indiana the son of Wayne and Eva (Clifford) Ruby. Jack married Sylvia Stoffel on December 31, 1954 in Willisville, IL. She passed away on May 2, 2006. He is survived by 2 daughters: Jan (Jim) Bogenpohl, Steeleville, IL, Cindy (Bob) Ramsey, Jackson, MO; son: Bob (Stephanie) Ruby, Mt. Pleasant, IA; step-daughter, Darla Loftus, Carterville, IL; Grandchildren, Kyle (Jessica) Reitz; Kory Reitz, Troy (Amanda) Bogenpohl and Great Granchildren, Zane Bogenpohl and Kylie Reitz. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 1 step son-in-law. Jack served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1966. He was retired from World Color Press in Sparta, IL. Jack was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville and also members of Alma Lodge #497 A.F. & A.M. and the Steeleville Eagles. Jack was also a former member of the Steeleville Fire Department. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Wilson's Funeral Home Steeleville, Illinois with Rev. S. Blake Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville where friends may call from 6 to 8pm on Tuesday and on Wednesday from 7:30 to 11am. Masonic Services will be at 8PM Tuesday under the auspices of Alma Lodge #497 A.F. & A. M. Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church Youth Group or Alma Lodge #497 A.F. & A.M
