CHESTER, Iva A. Brockmeyer, 73, of Steeleville, passed away at 9:07 P.M. Thursday, December 17, 2009, at St. Ann's Healthcare Center in Chester, IL. She was born October 16, 1936 in Chester, Illinois the daughter of William A. Faverty and Edith (Ninness) Faverty. Iva married Irwin C. Brockmeyer on February 18, 1956 in Chester, Illinois. He passed away on February 28, 2004. Mrs. Brockmeyer was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Steeleville and she was also retired from Gilster -Mary Lee Corp. Steeleville, IL. She is survived by four sons: Derwin and Robin Brockmeyer of Walsh, IL, Dale and Becky Brockmeyer of Steeleville, IL, Donald and Dixie Brockmeyer of Chester, IL, and Dwayne and Laura Brockmeyer of Ellis Grove, IL; four daughters: Victoria and Danny Jones of Cutler, IL, Luann and Jim Simon of Lenzburg, IL, Bonnie Sue Birkner of Steeleville, IL and Darla and Stephen Gordon of Steeleville, IL; Eighteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Neva Faverty and Evelyn Fedderke, four brothers, Henry Faverty, Leman Faverty, Curtis Faverty and Daniel Faverty. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 21, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Rev. Perry Schefelker and Rev. Mark Wellig will be officiating. Burial will be at Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville, Illinois. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Sunday from 5-8 PM then on Monday from 7:30 to 9am then from 10 to 11 at the church.
