WILLISVILLE – Iris E. Henson, 94, of Willisville, passed away at 10:20 PM, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Coulterville Care Center.

Iris was born on December 11, 1922, in Marissa, Illinois the daughter of Alvie W. and Mabel G. (Henderson) Wilkie. She married Phillip R. Henson, on June 7, 1950, in Piggott, Arkansas, and they shared 43 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on June 21, 1993. Iris was a seamstress and a homemaker, she was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Willisville, the Eastern Star at Steeleville, the White Shrine at Sparta, and the Willisville Women Organization.

Iris is survived by her children; Ronald Henson, of Boca Raton, Florida, Clifford E. Henson, of Willisville, Jay McCormick, of Campbell Hill, Gary D. Henson, of Steeleville, Richard R. Henson, of Percy, and Deanna Henson, of Willisville, she is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Henson was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 sister, and 1 grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, December 7, 2017, at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville, with Rev. Willis Durbin, and burial will follow at the Percy Village Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11 AM to 1 PM, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Central Baptist Church.
