STEELEVILLE, Irene A. Stegmann, 90, of Steeleville, passed away at 3:54 A.M. Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Three Springs Lodge in Chester, IL. Irene was born July 19, 1917 in Perry County, Illinois the daughter of Fred Hartmann and Mary (Bollmann) Hartmann. Irene married Martin W. Stegmann on November 12, 1944 in Perry County, Illinois, he preceded her in death on January 28, 2003. Irene was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill, B.B.K. American Legion Auxiliary Post #480 of Steeleville, and Ladies Aid at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill. Irene is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Dennis) Calliss of Marion and Karen (Ralph) Rheinecker of Steeleville; four grandchildren, Sarah (Lawrence) Work, Rebecca Calliss, Renee Rheinecker and Kevin Rheinecker; one step grandson, Scot (Constance) Rheinecker and two step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Monday, July 14, 2008 at the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill with Rev. Gregory J. Schultz officiating. Interment will follow in Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville. Visitatioin will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Sunday and on Monday from 7:30 am until 9 am then from 10 to 11 am Monday at the church.
