AVA - Imogene (Pat) Koehn, 89, of Ava, passed away at 7:10 pm, Monday, March 16, 2015 at Manor Court in Carbondale, Illinois. Imogene was born in Gorham, Illinois on September 28, 1925, the daughter of John and Laura Sickler Rednour. She married Earl "Pete" Koehn on June 26, 1946 in Murphysboro. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2008. Imogene was a Homemaker and a Farmer for over 60 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star for 50 years. She was active in the PTA while her children were in school, and she was an Election Judge for Degognia Township. Imogene is survived by two sons, Dr. Charles Koehn of Murphysboro, IL and Robert (Susan) Koehn of Ava; grandchildren, Ben (Leslie) Koehn, Sara Koehn, Luke (Amy) Koehn and Rachel (Kevin) Basler; great grandchildren, Jakob, William, Beau, Noah, Ryan, Drew and Ava; and a sister, Dorothy Anderson of Mason, OH. Imogene was also preceded in death by her Parents; three sisters, Mae, Margaret and Beulah; and four brothers, Henry, Jack, Bill and Ray. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. James Easton officiating. Burial will follow in Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call on Thursday from 6 pm until 8 pm then on Friday from 7:30 am until 11 am. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
