PERCY, Hugh E. Becker, 69, of Percy, passed away at 8:23 A.M. Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, IL. He was born August 17, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of Hugh Becker and Alma (Marshall) Becker. Hugh married Janet K. Biermann on August 19, 1961 in Chester, Illinois. He was retired from World Color Press, Sparta, IL, and also a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL. He is survived by his wife: Janet K. Becker of Percy, IL; sons: Kevin and Lora Becker of Steeleville, IL, Brian and Shelia Becker of Steeleville, IL; grandchildren: Corey Becker Jason Becker, Kendra and Adam Tretter and Kacey Becker; great granddaughter: Madelyn Tretter; brother: William Becker of Percy, IL; sister: Etta Mae Eaton of Cutler, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Louise Duvall. Mr. Becker was an Army Veteran. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 5, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke of St. Mark's Lutheran Church will be officiating. Burial will be at Paradise Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6-8pm at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville, IL and then on Friday from 7:30 to 11am and then from noon until 1pm at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
