CUTLER, Hilda Mae Caby, 89, of Cutler, passed away at 3:14 PM Friday, February 1, 2013, at Fairview Nursing Center in DuQuoin, Illinois. She was born August 30, 1923 in Denmark, Illinois the daughter of Millus P. and Ethel (Throop) Glass. Hilda married Van Keith Caby on May 6, 1946 in Cutler, IL. He passed away on August 9, 1969. Hilda was a retired inspector for Spartan Light Metals. She also served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Hilda was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Cutler, the Eastern Star OES#738 in Steeleville and the BBK American Legion Post 480 in Steeleville. She is survived by her children: Gloria J. Caby and Robert K. (Sandy) Caby, both of Cutler, James E. (Judy) Caby of Baldwin, Cathy J. Caby of Carbondale, Lynn A. Caby of Bremen, Bruce D. Caby and Vanessa A. (Dale) Wilson, both of Willisville. Hilda is also survived by 9 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Hilda is preceded in death by her parents and one Grandson, Larry Cook. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Wilson's Funeral Home Steeleville, Illinois with Rev. Mike Higgerson officiating. Burial will follow at Cutler Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, on Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 7:30am till time of service. An Eastern Star service will be at 7pm Monday at the funeral home under auspices of OES#738, Steeleville and an American Legion Service will be at 8PM at the funeral home under the auspices of American Legion Post 480, Steeleville. Preferred form of remembrance will be contributions to the American Heart Association
