WILLISVILLE – Herman P.J. Weihl, 84, of DeSoto, Illinois, formerly of Willisville, passed away at 6:25 pm, Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Manor Court in Carbondale.

Herman was born in Waterloo, Illinois, on April 12, 1935, the son of the late Herman W. and Adeline Girard Weihl.  He married Irma Kingsten on March 30, 1956 in Hernando, MS.  She preceded him in death on November 9, 1983.  He then married Suzann Huffine on July 4, 1984 in Willisville.  She preceded him in death on May 6, 2010.   P.J. was a retired Truck Driver.  He was a member of Alma Lodge #497 A.F. & A.M. in Steeleville and Rob Morris Eastern Star Chapter #98 O.E.S. of Fairview Heights, IL.

P.J. is survived four children, James W. Weihl of Herrin, Debra S. Gunter of Benton, AR, Sandra Broshears of Sparta and Lori Fred of DeSoto; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and brother, Ronald Weihl of Muskegan, MI.

P.J. was also preceded in death by his Parents; one son, Rodney; and one sister.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Calvary Cemetery in Campbell Hill, with Ronald Weihl officiating.  Burial will follow.  Memorials may be given to Shriner's Hospital for Children.
