PERCY – Herman C. Hartmann, Jr., 77, of Percy, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at the Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehab Center in Pinckneyville, Illinois.

Herman was born in Chester, Illinois, on March 26, 1943, the son of Herman C. and Sophia Stegmann Hartmann, Sr. He married Joyce Grubb and she preceded him in death. Herman was retired from World Color Press and had worked for a printing company in California.

Herman is survived by nieces and nephews, all of Chester, William Rinderer, Dollatine Rinderer and Herman Charles Rinderer. He is also survived by a great niece and a dear friend, John Myers.

Herman was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and a maternal aunt, Lydia Meyerhoff Stegmann.

Herman's wishes were for cremation without any service. Memorials will be to St. John's Lutheran Church in Chester and can be sent to the Funeral Home.
