CHESTER - Henry J. Fedderke, 78, of Chester, passed away at 2:07 P.M. Sunday, November 01, 2009, at Memorial Hospital of Chester in Chester, IL. Henry was born July 21, 1931 in Ava, Illinois the son of William A. Fedderke, Sr. and Estelle (Poenitske) Fedderke. He married Eddell Ebers on December 23, 1951 at Wine Hill, IL. He was retired from Spartan Printing after 38 years. Henry was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served as a cook during the Korean Conflict. Henry was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Wine Hill, IL, and a lifetime member of the American Legion Alva Courier Post #487 in Chester. Henry deer hunted for 50 years, he enjoyed fishing and bow hunting with his son and grandsons. He is survived by his wife, Eddell Ebers of Chester; two children, Carla (Larry) Heinemeyer of Chester and Randy (Kim) Fedderke of Chester; two grandsons, Jerrod (Danielle) Hasemeyer of Chester and Daniel Fedderke of Chester; two great grandchildren, Gage & Avery Jo Hasemeyer; three brothers, William Fedderke, Jr. of Murphysboro, Roger Fedderke of Steeleville and Roy Fedderke of Steeleville. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Kenneth & Donald and one sister, Faye Oetjen. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wine Hill with Rev. Tim B. Zechiel and Vicar Gail Heimgartner officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Wine Hill. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm and on Wednesday from 7:30 am until 9 am and on Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill from 10 to 11 am. Memorials may be made to Perpetual Care at St. Paul's Cemetery or to the Lutheran School Tuition Fund.
