STEELEVILLE – Helen B. Pugh, 91, Steeleville, passed away at 4:18 pm, Monday, February 26, 2018 at the Memorial Hospital in Chester.
Helen was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, on June 5, 1926, the daughter of William and Madeline Billey Bohay. She married Howard L. Pugh on April 7, 1945 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2017. Helen worked 10 years at the Shoe Factory and 20 years at the Garment Factory. She was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Cutler and the B.B.K. American Legion Auxiliary Post #480, Steeleville.
Helen is survived by one daughter, Gloria (Everett) Moore of Steeleville; two grandchildren, Monica Moore and Mary Moore; three great grandchildren, Bethany Moore, Logan Smith, Samantha Stipe; two great great grandchildren, Cobie Moore and Khloe Liter; and a half brother, Andy Bohay of Ladysmith, British Columbia, Canada.
Helen was also preceded in death by her Parents; one brother; four sisters; and five step sisters.Funeral service will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Reformed Presbyterian Church, Cutler with Rev. Curt Rabe officiating. Burial will follow at Cutler Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm Wednesday and on Thursday from 9 am until 10 am at the church. Memorials may given to the Reformed Presbyterian Church, Cutler or Cutler Cemetery.
