STEELEVILLE- Helen R. Parsons, 91, of Steeleville, passed away at 4:10 AM, Thursday, April 12, 2018, at the Randolph County Care Center, in Sparta.
Helen was born on July 18, 1926, in Marion, the daughter of Barney and Hazel (Hayter) Howard. She married Charles E. Parsons on September 10, 1944, in Hayes, Kansas, and they shared 58 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on December 30, 2002. She was a homemaker, and a member of the United Methodist Church in Steeleville.
Helen is survived by her children; Suzy and Tim Morris, of Steeleville, Scott Parsons, of Pittsburg, PA, John and Christina Parsons, of Choudrant, LA. Also surviving is 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Parsons was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, April 15, 2018, at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Rev. Wesley Parsons officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home where friends may call from 1 to 2 PM Sunday. Private interment of cremated remains will be at a later date in Percy Village Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church, Steeleville.
