JACOB - Helen Mifflin, 95, of Jacob, passed away at 8:45 am, Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at the Cobden Rehab and Care Center in Cobden, Illinois. Helen was born in Jackson County, Illinois on September 15, 1918, the daughter of Francis and Lucy Octiven Davis Gale. She married Charles Mifflin in 1936 in Raddle, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1997. Helen is survived by her children, Robert G. (Linda) Mifflin, Ruth Ann Kerkhover, Rita Catherine Legan and Gerald (Sara) Mifflin; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and her brothers, James L. Gale and Ernest Gale. Helen was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, William; two granddaughters; one grandson; two sons-in-law; and five brothers. Memorial mass will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, March 22, 2014, at the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Raddle with Father Leo J. Hayes officiating.
