CUTLER, Helen L. Hartel, 70, of Cutler, passed away at 8:18 A.M. Monday, September 19, 2011, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale in Carbondale, IL. She was born December 08, 1940 in Anna Jonesboro, Illinois the daughter of Charles Young and Ella (Freeman) Young. Helen married Larry William Hartel on May 2, 1970 in Cutler, IL. Larry passed away on June 9, 1986. She is survived by her son Larry James Hartel of Percy; one brother: William T. and Betty Davis of Cutler, IL. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Hartel was retired from Gilster Mary Lee. She attended the Clairmin Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville. Rev. Mike Higgerson will be officiating. Burial will be at Cutler Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Thursday from 10am to 2pm Memorials may be made to Perry County Humane Society.
