MURPHYSBORO – Hazel L. Sullivan, 95, of Murphysboro, passed away at 4:53 PM, Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Manor Court in Carbondale.

Hazel was born on May 23, 1923, in Ava, the daughter of Hiram and Pearl (Guy) Bilderback. She married Connie Ray Sullivan at the First Christian Church Parsonage, in Murphysboro in 1957, and he preceded her in death on January 7, 1983. Hazel was a retired LPN from St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro, and was a member of the Berean Christian Church in Murphysboro, and the VFW Auxiliary Post #7190 in Murphysboro.

Hazel is survived by her son; Dan (Carole) Bilderback, of Murphysboro, step-son; Connie (Rita) Sullivan, of High Pointe, North Carolina, 2 grandchildren; Justin (Abby) Bilderback and Cassi (Josh) Hines, and one great grandson; Jameson Hines.

Mrs. Sullivan was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park, Murphysboro. Burial will follow. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Associating or Alzheimer's Association. Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava is assisting the family with the arrangements.
