STEELEVILLE - Harvey C. Junge, 74, of Steeleville, passed away at 7:45 am, Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the VA Medical Center in Marion, IL. Harvey was born October 31, 1938 in Belleville, IL the son of Alfred Henry and Laura Marie Voss Junge. He married Kathleen Windergerst on November 8, 1958 in Red Bud, Illinois. He was a farmer and raised Simmental cattle. Harvey was a US Army veteran having served from 1961 to 1963 and was stationed in Germany. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Sparta; past President of Randolph County Pork Producers; past board member of Randolph Mutual; and a member of the Illinois Beef Association. Harvey is survived by his wife, Kathleen Junge of Steeleville; one daughter, Michelle (John) Hubert of Chester; grandchildren, Derek (Andrea) Choate, Courtney Hubert (Fiancee: Jason Oetting), Nathan Hubert, and Michael Hubert; and an expectant Great Grandchild in May. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Sparta with Rev. Bruce Cameron officiating. Burial will follow in Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville from 5 to 8 pm Monday and on Tuesday from 7:30 am until 8:30 am then from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at the church. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or to St. John's Lutheran Church.
