AVA, Harriet Tamsey Taylor, 96, of Ava, passed away at10:10 A.M. Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at Rehab and Care Center in Murphysboro, IL. Harriet was born August 31, 1912 in Nelson, Kentucky the daughter of Tom Ford and Mary (Kinley) Ford. Harriet married Arlie Lee Taylor on September 23, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois. He preceded her in death in October of 1987. Harriet was a member of Crain Baptist Church, Ava, IL, and was a homemaker. Harriet is survived by two nephews, Jack (Ann) Hindman of Ava, and Bertrum (Bobbie) Hindman of Brooksville, FL; one niece, Joyce (William) Smith of Ava; two nephews, Ronald Ford of Zeigler, IL and Kenneth Ford; several great nieces and nephews; and great great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her Parents, One Brother and One Sister. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 20, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. Gilbert Gee officiating. Burial will be at Herrin City Cemetery on Monday, July 20, 2009 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava on Sunday from 6 to 8 pm and on Monday from 7:30 am until 11 am. Memorials may be made to Crain Baptist Church.
