CAMPBELL HILL - Harold Dean Lunsford, Sr., 83, of Campbell Hill, passed away at 1:00 pm, Friday, May 2, 2014 at his home in Campbell Hill. Harold was born in Gorham, Illinois on January 1, 1931, the son of Owen and Alma Lucille Garres Lunsford. He married Doris Ellen Beisner on November 25, 1950 in Murphysboro. Harold was a yard master at St. Louis Southwestern Railroad. Harold was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Cahokia, IL and the Emeth Lodge #1030 in Cahokia, IL. Harold is survived by his wife, Doris Lunsford of Campbell Hill; son, Harold Dean (Lisa) Lunsford of Grain Valley, MO; daughter, Linda Diane Ennor of Arnold, MO; grandchildren, Natalie Lunsford, Michael Todd Ennor, Matthew Ryan Ennor, Brandy Kirk; great grandchildren, Austin Ennor, Wyatt Kirk, Alaina Kirk and Ella Kirk; brother, Owen Jessie Lunsford of Jefferson City, MO; sister, Judy Shapiro; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Theresa Joan Steffens. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, May 5, 2014 at the Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, with Rev. William Stoklosa officiating. Burial will follow Pleasant Grove Memorial Park in Murphysboro. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 9 am until 11 am Monday. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
