STEELEVILLE – Harold W. Gerlach, 77, of Steeleville, passed away at 8:30 am, Sunday, October 25, 2020, at Cedar Hurst of Sparta, Sparta, Illinois.

Harold was born in Sparta, Illinois, on July 28, 1943, the son of W.H. and Frances Blind Gerlach.  He married Martha Finley on June 13, 1964 in Sparta, Illinois.  Harold was of the Presbyterian Faith.  He retired from Stamm Trucking after 42 years of driving.

Harold is survived by his wife Martha Gerlach of Steeleville, Son, Bill Gerlach of Steeleville, Brother, Walter Gerlach of Sparta, Sisters; Marilyn (Cecil) Shockley of Sparta, Ruth Stellhorn of Perryville, MO, Roberta Guebert of Sparta, and Esther Craig of Sparta. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Harold was preceded in death by his Parents.

Private graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville, Illinois, with Reverend David Hoffelmeyer officiating.  Burial will follow.  Memorials may be given to Randolph County Humane Society.  Due to executive order, face masks must be worn, and social guidelines must be followed.
