Obituary Notice Harold A. Gerlach PERCY, Harold A. Gerlach, 86, of Percy, passed away at 7:20 P.M. Saturday, March 07, 2009, at Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, IL. Harold was born March 30, 1922 in Jackson County, Illinois, the son of August R. Gerlach and Hilda (Niederbrach) Gerlach. He married Gertrude F. Firth on July 15, 1945 at St. Luke's Parsonage, Campbell Hill, IL. Harold was a retired gas station owner. He was a veteran of the US Army during WWII. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill, IL. Harold is survived by his wife Gertrude F. Gerlach of Percy, IL; two brothers, Lester (Mary) Gerlach of Willisville, IL, Roy Gerlach of Oakbrook Terrace, IL; one sister, Lucille Misselhorn of Campbell Hill, IL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant sister, one brother-in-law and two nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill with Rev. Raymond Barclay officiating. Burial will follow at St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery in Campbell Hill. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Percy on Monday from 5 to 8 pm and on Tuesday from 7:30 am until Noon and on Tuesday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill from 1 to 2 pm. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
