Harley A. Kauffman was born November 28, 1939, at Kalona, IA, the son of Abe and Alta Kauffman. He accepted Christ and was baptized in his youth and remained faithful until his death on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

On September 14, 1967, he was united in marriage to Katie Yoder. They lived in Holy Matrimony for 52 years, until she preceded him in death on November 23, 2019.

Survivors include two sons, Marlin (Vera) Kauffman of Campbell Hill, IL, and Everett (Vanora) Kauffman of Carbondale, IL, 11 grandchildren, 1 brother, Norman (Judy) Kauffman of Hodgdon, ME, four sisters, Wilma Yoder of Kalona, IA, Rachel (Willis) Hershberger of Windsor, MO, Irene (Jerry) Miller of Williamson, IA, and Mary Lou (Ivan) Borntrager of Kalona, IA, brother-in-law, Vernon Yoder of Kalona, IA, sister-in-law, Freda Kauffman of Bevier, MO, and brother-in-law, Joseph Miller.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, one son, Clifford, one brother, Cephas, two sisters, Inez and Rhoda, and one brother-in-law, Willis Yoder.
