MURPHYSBORO – H. Marie Williamson, 95, of Murphysboro, IL, formerly of Ava, IL, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Century Assisted Living, Carbondale, IL.

Marie was born February 14, 1926, in Ava, IL, to Ralph H. and Helen M. (Ditzler) Garver. She married Ray L. Williamson, on October 20, 1946, in Ava, IL. Ray preceded her in death on September 22, 2007. Marie was a homemaker. She was a member of Assembly of God Church in Ava, IL, and W.M. at church.

Marie is survived by her children: Lois Sellers of Murphysboro, IL, Larry Williamson of Ava, IL; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, brothers; Glen Garver of Ava, IL, and Gale Garver of Ava, IL.

Marie is also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, November 1, 2021, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, IL, with Rev. Dean Akins officiating. Burial to follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava, IL. Friends may call from 5 - 8 pm, Sunday and on Monday from 7:30 – 10 am, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, IL.
