MURPHYSBORO, Grace Murden, 92, of Murphysboro, passed away at 7:05 A.M. Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Helia Healthcare in Carbondale, IL. She was born July 6, 1918 in Jacob, Illinois the daughter of Louis Loy Korando and Elizabeth (Shields) Korando. Grace married Earl Murden on June 7, 1947 in Ava, IL, he passed away on March 29, 1996. Then later she spent seven years together with Charles A. Aldridge, a very special friend at Wolf Lake, IL and he passed away on January 29, 2010. She is survived by: one sister: Betty Lou Korando of Murphysboro, IL; one sister-in-law: Mickey Korando of Murphysboro, IL; Several Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews. She is preceded in death by: one sister: Cecelia Corabie, four brothers: Louis Eugene Korando, Joseph Sylvester Korando, Leo Benedict Korando and Cliff Korando. She was a retired Seamstress from St. Louis Shoe Factory. She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Murphysboro, IL, Randolph County Home Extension, Chester Memorial Hospital Auxillary, and Chester Women Club. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 26, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Murphysboro, IL. Father Gary Gummersheimer will be officiating. Burial will be at Ava Evergreen Cemetery in Ava, IL. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava on Sunday from 5-8 PM, Rosary recited at the funeral home at 5 pm on Sunday. Memorials may be made to St. Andrew's Catholic Church or to Masses.
