AVA – Grace Kessel, 82, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehab Center, Pinckneyville, IL.

Grace was born on August 8, 1940, the daughter of Herbert H. and Mary Ethel (Browder) Kessel. She was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of First Baptist Church, Grand Tower, IL.

Grace is survived by her sister Billie R. Kessel of Ava, IL, her brother, Freddie (Jane) Kessel of Warrenton, MO, her nieces and nephews, beloved great nephews: Andrew Overton, Aaron Meier; and friends.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Ella Guetersloh and Ruby Bush.

Grace's wishes were for cremation, with a private grave side service at a later date. Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church, Grand Tower, IL, c/o Wilson's Funeral Home , PO Box 277, Ava, IL, 62907.
