STEELEVILLE, Gordon W. Wilfong, 59, of Steeleville, passed away at 3:34 P.M. Monday, August 24, 2009, at his home in Steeleville, IL. He was born September 10, 1949 in Bloomington, Illinois the son of Edward C. Wilfong and Mildred (Ward) Wilfong. He is survived by two sisters, Sally Antry of St. Louis, MO, Victoria Buchtel of Powell, Ohio; brother, James Wilfong of Conway, MO; several nieces and nephews. Gordon served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and later retired as a short order cook. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother George. Funeral services will be at a later time. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Wednesday from 5-7 PM
