STEELEVILLE, Gloria Abbey, 84, of Steeleville, passed away at 4:47 PM Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Three Springs Lodge in Chester, Illinois. She was born August 2, 1928 in Modoc, Illinois the daughter of John and Ellie (Allison) Brown. Gloria married Harry E. Abbey on Friday, October 06, 1944 in Murphysboro, Illinois. Harry passed away on November 22, 2008. Gloria was a Homemaker in her own home and was of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by her: brother: Alvin Brown, Foristell, MO, several Nieces and Nephews and a host of Friends. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 1 sister. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 4, 2013 at 1:30 PM at Wilson's Funeral Home Steeleville, Illinois with Rev. Blu Berner officiating. Burial will follow at Percy Village Cemetery, Percy, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home on Monday from 12:00 PM to time of service.
