AVA – Glenn A. Vancil, 88, formerly of Ava, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023, at Mountain Vista Medical Center, Mesa, AZ.

Glenn was born in Ava, IL, on April 23, 1934, the son of Murray A. and Virginia (Wilson) Vancil. He married Clara L. Williams on October 1, 1960, in St. Louis, MO. Glenn was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and had a lifetime career with McDonnell Douglas.

Surviving is his wife, Clara "Kathy" Vancil of Ava, IL, his son, David Vancil of Ava, IL, his grandchildren: Joseph H. Vancil, Glenn M. Vancil, Autumn G. Vancil; and his brother, Robert Vancil of Gilbert, AZ.

Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Jack A., Daniel A, and William P. Vancil; and one sister, Ruth Weathers.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 11:00 am, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, IL. Burial will follow at Perkins Cemetery, Perkins, MO, at 2:00 pm.
