Obituary
SPARTA – Glen F. Kolweier, 70, of Sparta passed away at 2:45PM, Thursday, November 22, 2018, at the St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon.
Glen was born on August 15, 1948, in Washington, County, Illinois, the son of Earl and Laverne (Kruse) Kolweier. He was a veteran of the US Air Force during Vietnam, he retired from FS in Nashville, Illinois. He married Jane A. Craig, on February 17, 2007, at the Marissa Presbyterian Church. Glen was a member of the Marissa Presbyterian Church.
Glen is survived by his wife; Jane Kolweier, of Sparta, 4 children; Amy Kolweier, of New Baden, Mike (Sarah) Kolweier, of Waterloo, Brett (Lauren) Kolweier, of Okawville, and Bryce (Ashley) Kolweier, of Okawville, 3 grandchildren; Luke, Lillian, and Tessa, and one grandchild on the way. He is also survived by a brother; Wayne (Cheri) Kolweier, of Chicago, Illinois, 2 nephews; Neil and Jonathan, and a host of friends.
Mr. Kolweier was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 8, 2018, at the Marissa Presbyterian Church, Marissa, Illinois with Rev. James Ryan officiating. Visitation will be at the church Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 9 am until 11 am. Memorials may be made to the Family. Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville is assisting the family with the arrangements.
