STEELEVILLE, Glen E. Bierman, 78, of Steeleville, passed away at 10:15 P.M. Friday, July 01, 2011, at Three Springs Lodge in Chester, IL. He was born September 02, 1932 in Percy, Illinois the son of Rudolph Bierman and Alberna (Fischer) Bierman. Glen married Elsie E. Owens on June 18, 1954 in Sparta, Illinois. Elsie passed away on October 30, 2008. He is survived by his daughter: Elizabeth and Roger Abell of Percy, IL; two grandchildren: Michelle and Russell Tripp of Steeleville, IL and Nathaniel Abell and Violet of Campbell Hill, IL; great grandchildren Logan Tripp and Ella Tripp of Steeleville; brothers: Orville Lee Bierman of Percy, IL and Delbert Bierman of Percy, IL. Glen is preceded in death by his parents and one son: William Glen Bierman. Mr. Bierman served in the U.S. Army, during the Korean Conflict. He later retired from World Color Press in Sparta, IL. Glen was a member of the Steeleville Baptist Church, Steeleville, IL Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville. Pastor Charles Ellis will be officiating. Burial will be at Percy Village Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Tuesday from 10 am to 1pm. Memorials may be made to the Liver Foundation or Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home.
