WILLISVILLE – Gertrude Kammermann, 86, of Willisville, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at her home in Willisville, IL.

Gertrude was born in Willisville, Illinois, on July 14, 1936, the daughter of Paul and Mabel (Snider) Vanover. She married John A. Kammermann August 1996, in Wheaton, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2002. Gertrude was of the Baptist faith and a member of Willisville Senior Citizen's, Willisville Women's Organization and Twig's. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling, and slot machines.

Gertrude is survived by her children: Helen (Tim) Phillips of Willisville, IL, Linda (Jose) Alvarez of Warrenville, IL; her fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren, her sisters: Letha Earlene Vanover of Campbell Hill, IL, Helen Pritchett of Mascoutah, IL, and Ruth Jeremiah of Willisville, IL.

Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Randall Vanover, a daughter, Kimberly Mantel, a grandson, Alex Alvarez, a great granddaughter, Sierra Brya, and a brother, Heardy Paul Vanover.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 1:00 pm, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, with Rev. Willis Durbin officiating. Burial will follow at Looney Springs Cemetery, Campbell Hill. Friends may call from 11 am until 1 pm, at the funeral home.
