CAMPBELL HILL – Geraldine B. Mueller, 85, of Carbondale, Illinois, formerly of Campbell Hill, Illinois, passed away at 10:17 pm, Friday, January 8, 2016 at Manor Court in Carbondale, Illinois.

Geraldine was born in Campbell Hill on December 17, 1930, the daughter of Herman W. and Edna Thies Beckman. She married Edwin F. Mueller on November 26, 1960 at Campbell Hill, Illinois. He preceded her in death on August 23, 2000. She was a retired Secretary. Geraldine was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill, American Legion Post #1096 Auxiliary in Campbell Hill, Jackson County Home Extension, and LWML of St. Peter Lutheran Church.

Geraldine is survived by her stepson, Gilbert Mueller of Thailand; her children, Michael Scott Mueller of California and Kimberly Mueller Alderson of Carterville, IL; son-in-law, William Alderson of Carterville; three grandchildren, Michael Keith Mueller, Alexis Nicole Darnstaedt and Blake Allen Darnstaedt.

Geraldine was also preceded in death by her Parents.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill with Rev. Alan Kornacki officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Campbell Hill. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm Monday and on Tuesday from 7:30 am until 9 am then from 10 am until 11 am at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Peter Lutheran Church or Campbell Hill American Legion Post #1096 Auxiliary.
