MURPHYSBORO – Gerald K. Mifflin, 67, of Murphysboro, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in Grimsby, Illinois.
Gerald was born in Murphysboro, Illinois, on July 30, 1951, the son of Charles and Helen Gale Mifflin. He married Sara J. Stone on July 25, 1975 in Murphysboro. He was an Army veteran having served during the Vietnam Conflict and he was retired from the Railroad. Gerald was a member of Elm Street Baptist Church in Murphysboro.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Sara J. Mifflin of Murphysboro; two sons, Brian (Angie) Mifflin of Murphysboro and Shawn (Shauna) Mifflin of DeSoto, IL; two grandchildren, Tabitha and Charles Mifflin; siblings, Robert (Linda) Mifflin, Ruth Ann Kerkhover of Ava, MO and Rita Leggans of Murphysboro.
Gerald was preceded in death by his Parents and one brother.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, with Ronnie Shadowens officiating. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, from Noon until 3 pm. Memorials may be given Murphysboro Soccer League, Inc.
