CHESTER, Genie Delores Farris Blades, 71 went home to be with the Lord, December 7, 2013 at 3:52 pm, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was the daughter of Iva Provance of Cutler, IL and was born on February 20, 1942. She is survived by two sons: Charles "Barkley" Farris of Tilden and Jimmy (Lori) Farris of Steeleville; Three daughters: Eva Jeremiah of Tilden, Genie (Ron) Hall of Piedmont, MO and Cheryl (Tom) Knapp of Chester; Two brothers: Robert (Dorothy) Essman of Percy and Johnnie (LuEva) Farris of Thompsonville; Two Sisters: Charlotte Chandler of Sparta and Kay Farris of Mill Springs, MO; Nine Grandchildren; Nine Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and friends that loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Farris, one daughter, Juanita, and her mother. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Percy with Rev. Mike Higgerson officiating. Burial will follow at Cutler Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Percy, where friends may call from 6 pm to 8 pm Tuesday and on Wednesday from 7:30 am until the hour of service. Memorials may be given to the Family.
