MURPHYSBORO – Gary Wayne Dagner, 72, of Murphysboro, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020, at home.

Gary Wayne was born in Murphysboro, on June 28, 1948, the son of Henry L. and Genice Leonard Dagner.  He married Carol Jacobs on June 1, 1974 in Oregon, Illinois.  Wayne was  owner of Three Way Timber.  He was a member of the NRA.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Carol Dagner of Murphysboro; three children, Stephanie (Kevin) Kelley of Murphysboro, Gary Lawrence (Michelle) Dagner of Ava and Dwayne (Brandy) Dagner of  Murphysboro; five grandchildren, Grant Kelley, Dylan Johnson, Myah Kelley, Natalie Dagner and Kash Dagner; and one sister, Dorothy Koch of Ava.

Wayne was preceded in death by his Parents; two sisters, Ruth Mae Dagner and Doris Gerler; and one brother, Ray Dagner.

Graveside service will be held on Monday, November 2, 2020, at 2:00 pm, at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava, Illinois.  Burial will follow.  Memorials may be given to a hunting fund for children.  To sign the guest book visit www.wilsonsfuneralhome.net .  By executive orders, facemask and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
