CHESTER, Garry W. Throop, 52, of Chester, passed away at 8:54 P.M. Sunday, October 18, 2009, at his home in Chester, IL. Garry was born April 4, 1957 in Murphysboro, Illinois the son of George William Throop and Marybelle (Steele) Throop. He worked as a plasterer in construction, is a member of the Ava Missionary Baptist Church in Ava, IL and of the Plasterer Union. He is survived by his wife: Sue Throop of French Lich, IN; several special step- children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; his parents: George and Marybelle Throop; sister: Linda Fortner of Chester, IL; two brothers: David Throop of Chester, IL, Thomas Throop of Ava, IL; several nieces and nephews. Garry is preceded in death by two brothers: Michael Throop and Paul Hiser. Graveside services will be private for the family on Saturday, October 24, 2009. Due to Garry's wishes cremation will take place. Memorials may be made to the family.
