AVA - Frankie M. Hiser, 92, of Ava, passed away at 7:10 am, Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Helia Healthcare in Carbondale, IL. Frankie was born in Alardt, TN on May 20, 1921, the daughter of Christopher and Mary Myrtle Kring Tipton. She married Lloyd Keifford Stockton in 1948 in Roswell, GA, he preceded her in death in February of 1951. She then married Emmett Hiser on November 17, 1955 in Jamestown, TN, he preceded her in death on October 25, 1968. Frankie was retired from Cal Crest Jacket Factory and she was a homemaker. She was a member of Sato Baptist Church, Ava and a member of the Ladies Missionary Unit of Sato Baptist Church. Frankie is survived by her children, Henry (Marilyn) Stockton of Elkville, IL and Mary Hiser of Ava, IL; one grandson, Tommie Stockton of Elkville; one step son, Phil Shelby (Sue) Stockton of Phoenix, AZ; 3 step grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren; 3 step great great grandchildren; one sister, Pearlie Crockett of Muncie, IN; and two brothers, Elmer (Charlene) Tipton of Robins, TN and Lester (Betty) Tipton of Crossville, TN. Frankie was also preceded in death by her Parents; one granddaughter, Whitney Marie Halstead; one brother, Melvin Tipton; and two sisters, Violet Ramsey and Norma Jean Hoover. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava with Rev. Charles Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday and on Wednesday from 7:30 am until 11 am. Memorials may be given to Sato Baptist Church.
