Obituary
AVA, Francis Scott Modglin, 78, of Ava, passed away at 5:00 PM Friday, May 4, 2018, at his home in Ava, Illinois. He was born July 22, 1939 in Alexis, Illinois the son of Kenneth W. and Dorothy (McBride) Modglin. Scott married Ethel J. (Miller) Wilhite on November 25, 1967 at St. Louis, MO. She survives.
Scott was retired from Chrysler Motors in Fenton, Missouri. He was a member of the United Auto Workers and the NRA.
Scott is survived by his wife: Ethel J. Modglin, Ava, IL; children: Brian Scott (Jami) Modglin, Ava, IL and Warren Lee (Melissa) Modglin, Campbell Hill, IL; Step Children: Thomas Wilhite, Ava, IL and Jeanette White, St. Louis, MO; 9 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Scott is also survived by a brother, Michael Modglin, Ava, IL and a sister, Phoebe Johnson, Monmouth, IL.
Scott is preceded in death by his parents, 1 grandson and 2 brothers.
Memorial services will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Burial will follow at the cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.Francis Scott Modglin's Guestbook
