WILLISVILLE – Frances A. Rohlfing, 90, of Willisville, passed away at 12:40 am, Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at the Three Springs Lodge in Chester, Illinois.
Frances was born in Willisville, Illinois on January 9, 1926, the daughter of Joseph and Nettie Schiro Dolce. She married William Ray Rohlfing on February 15, 1947 in Ava, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 3, 1999. Frances owned and operated Rohlfing's in Willisville. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Willisville; the St. Joseph Altar Sodality; Kaskaskia VFW Post #3553 Auxiliary, Chester; and the American Legion Auxiliary at Willisville.
Frances is survived by her son, Rodney (Lisa) Rohlfing of Steeleville; two grandchildren, Patrick Rohlfing and Kellyn Rohlfing; and her sister, Angeline Alms of Pinckneyville, IL.
Frances was also preceded in death by her Parents; two brothers; and two infant siblings.
Funeral mass will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 29, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Willisville with Father Ben Stern and Rev. Randall Moeller officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willisville. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm on Sunday with the rosary being recited at 8 pm and on Monday from 7:30 am until 1 pm. Memorials may be given to Peace Lutheran Youth Program or St. Joseph Cemetery Fund.
