GORHAM - Floyd E. Morgan, 98, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Independence Care Center, Perryville, Missouri.
Floyd was born on October 18, 1925, in Datto, AR, the son of Clarence E. and Pearl (Fears) Morgan. He married Virginia M. Morgan on May 2, 1948, in Lusk Chapel, MO. She preceded him in death on May 16, 2013. Floyd was a Veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard and a retired railroad trackman. He was a member of United Methodist Church, Grand Tower, IL.
Floyd is survived by his children; Kathy (Jack) Stueve of Ava, IL, daughter in law, Mary Ann Morgan of North Liberty, IN; his grandchildren: Jackie A. (Becky) Stueve, Jr, Kody (Amanda) Stueve, Brad (Amy) Morgan; his great grandchildren: Emily (Trenton) Fisk, Zane Stueve, Seth Walker, Jakob Stueve, Hannah Stueve Maggie Stueve, Shelby Stueve, Andrew Morgan, Aubrey Morgan; his great great grandson, Tucker Fisk, and his sister Dorothy McDowell of Charleston, MO.
Floyd was also preceded in death by his parents, one son Kenneth Morgan, one granddaughter, Krystal Stueve, twin great granddaughters, Olivia and Grace Stueve, four brothers: Jake, Merlin, Charles, Robert; four sisters: Lela Guthrey, Nellie Gage, Vena Daughhetee, and Mary Ann Bonnifield.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 11:00 am at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, IL. Burial will follow at Glenn Cemetery, Rockwood, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, IL where friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 am until time of service. Memorials may be given to United Methodist Church and can mailed in c/o Wilson's Funeral Home, PO Box 277, Ava, IL 62907.
