JACOB, Florence Mabel Korando, 93, of Jacob, passed away at 11:10 A.M. Friday, October 23, 2009, at St. Anns Healthcare Center in Chester, IL. She was born June 27, 1916 in, Jacob, IL, the daughter of Arthur Estel and Calina (Rowald) Estel. She married Frank Andrew Korando on November 11, 1936 in Murphysboro, Illinois. He passed away on October 21, 1967. Mrs. Korando worked as a homemaker in her home and was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church, Jacob, IL. She is survived by her son: Frankie A. and Jane Korando of Jacob, IL; Grandchildren: Frank L. Korando, Michelle Korando, and Sheri and Todd Wilburn; seven great grandchildren and two great great grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, one infant daughter, one infant son, and one infant great grandson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava. Rev. Mike Kettner of Christ Lutheran Church will be officiating. Burial will be at Glenn Cemetery Visitation will be on Monday from 9 to 11 am at Wilson's Funeral Home Ava, IL Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church.
