STEELEVILLE - Florence O. Brockmeyer, 77, of Steeleville, passed away at 12:10 am, Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Three Springs Lodge in Chester. Florence was born on July 26, 1935 at Welge, IL, the daughter of Herman and Lydia Rubach Oppermann. She married Leroy H. Brockmeyer on November 20, 1954 in Wine Hill, IL. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2000. Florence was a homemaker and was retired from Gilster Mary Lee, Corp., Steeleville. She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill and was a member of the Ladies Aid at the church. Florence was also a member of the B.B.K. American Legion Auxiliary Post #480, Steeleville. Florence is survived by children, Roy (Rhonda) Brockmeyer of Chester and Jane (Tim) Lochhead of Chester; grandchildren, Anitra Sthoonover, Adrianne Brockmeyer, Joshua Lochhead and Elyse Lochhead Renner; three great grandchildren, Abby Farris, Valerie Farris and Jalia Sthoonover; sister, Irma (James) Fey, Chester and brother, Elmer Oppermann of Steeleville. Florence was also preceded in death by her parents and one infant sister. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill with Rev. Tim B. Zechiel officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Wine Hill. Visitation will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Thursday from 9 am until 10:45 am. Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Ladies Aid.
