CHRISTOPHER – Everett "Butch" Gray, 76, of Christopher, passed away Sunday, December 26,2021 at his home in Christopher.

Everett was born on January 22, 1945 in Murphysboro, IL, the son of Everett, Sr. and Eunice Davis Gray.  He married Luann Hemming on May 20, 1995 in Mulkeytown, IL.

Everett was retired from Big Muddy Correctional Center.  He was in the Army during the Vietnam Conflict and he was a member of the American Legion in Christopher.

Everett is survived by his wife, Luann of Christopher, Sons, Benjamin (Lori) Kenniker of Christopher and Nick Gray of Terre Haute, IN; Daughter, Amy (Steve) Albert of Terre Haute, IN; Grandchildren, Brittany and Jack; Great Grandson, Roman and Brother, Gene (Jane) Gray of Ava.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents, 4 siblings in infancy and one sister, Beulah Clover.

Everett's wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.  Memorials maybe made to Crain Cemetery and can be mailed to the funeral home at P.O. Box 277, Ava, IL 62907.
