STEELEVILLE – Everett "Cob" Caupert, 92, of Steeleville, passed away at 8:15 am, Friday, October 16, 2020, at Randolph County Care Center, Sparta, Illinois.

Everett was born in Pinckneyville, Illinois, on May 20, 1928, the son of Oscar and Anna Bigham Caupert.  He married Jacquelyn "Jackie" Schnoeker on April 23, 1950 in Steeleville.  He was retired from World Color Press, Sparta.  Everett was a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville; BBK American Legion Post #480, Steeleville; Kaskaskia VFW Post #3553, Chester; and Steeleville Eagles Aerie 3960.

Everett is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn Caupert of Steeleville; children, Lynn (Ollie) Boxdorfer of Steeleville, Lea (Ric) Dintelman of Steeleville, and John Caupert of Steeleville; grandchildren, Craig (Jessica) Kranz, Jodi (John) Theobald and Andrew (Liza) Dintelman; three great grandchildren, Shelby and Emma Kranz and Sammuel Everett Theobald; two step grandchildren, Kristy (Denny) Simms and Jeff (Shannon) Boxdorfer; and two step great grandchildren, Brianna and Nathan Simms.

Everett was preceded in death by his Parents and two brothers, Verlin and Robert.

Everett wishes were for cremation and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
