CAMPBELL HILL, Everet Rodewald, 90, of Campbell Hill, passed away at 2:30 PM Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Chester Rehab and Nursing Center in Chester, Illinois. He was born March 4, 1923 in Jackson County, Illinois the son of Rudolph and Blanche (Eggers) Rodewald. Everet married Bernadine Lindwedel on Saturday, January 31, 1953 at Zion Lutheran Church in Walsh, IL. Bernadine passed away on January 10, 2013. Everet was a farmer and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, West Point. He was also a member of Immanuel Lutheran Men's Club, Jackson County Farm Bureau and Shiloh Hill Community Club. He is survived by his son: Neil (Marsha) Rodewald, Ava, IL, 2 daughters: Vickey (Scott) Sternberg, Steeleville, IL and Rhonda (Doug) Eggers, Percy, IL; 7 Grandchildren: Amy (Gavin) Smith, Bradley (fiancee Kristen) Rodewald, Bryan Rodewald, Christopher (Hilary) Sternberg, Brandon (fiancee Kristin) Sternberg, Jill Eggers and Jessica Eggers; 6 Great Grandchildren: Ania and Lila Smith, Harper Rodewald and Trent, Macy and Hayden Sternberg. Everet is also survived by 1 brother: Rev. Alfred (Ruth) Rodewald, Concordia, MO, 3 sisters-in-law: Ruth Rodewald, Ava, IL, Norma Rodewald, Steeleville, IL and Onedia Eggemeyer, Steeleville, IL Everet is preceded in death by his parents and 5 brothers: Roy Rodewald, Raymond Rodewald, Omer Rodewald, Wilbert Rodewald and Darwin Rodewald. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in West Point, Illinois with Rev. Tim B. Zechiel officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, West Point. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, on Friday, where friends may call from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 9 to 10am at the church. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, New Shed Fund, Cemetery Fund or Building Fund
