CHESTER, Everell "Lee" Schroeder, 83, of Chester, passed away at 10:32 AM Saturday, January 10, 2015, at his home in Chester, Illinois. He was born December 8, 1931 in Chester, Illinois the son of Edward H. and Clara (Kingsten) Schroeder. Lee was a retired Boiler Maker from the Nooter Corporation in St. Louis, MO. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Lee was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church, Bremen; the B.B.K. American Legion Post #480, Steeleville; and the Boiler Maker Union Local #27, St. Louis, MO. He is survived by his 2 brothers: Ronald D. (Lyn) Schroeder, Georgetown, TX and Donald (Wanda) Schroeder, New Athens, IL; 5 Nieces and Nephews: Niki, Lauren, Benjamin, Jillian and Christian. Lee is preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services will be held Friday, January 16, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Johns Lutheran Church Cemetery in Bremen, Illinois with Rev. Ed Rowley officiating. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church of Bremen.
