MURPHYSBORO, Evelyn Lue Rubach, 84, of Murphysboro, formerly of Percy, IL passed away at 1:45 P.M. Sunday, November 30, 2008, at home in Murphysboro, IL. The last week of her life, she had gone home to where she was always surrounded by her family. Evelyn was born December 20, 1923 in Cutler, Illinois the daughter of Tom Jacoby and Racheal (White) Jacoby. Evelyn married Wilbert H. Rubach on June 28, 1941 in Jackson, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 6, 1984. She was a Homemaker and was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Murphysboro and she attended the First Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Chester, IL. Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Kay (Robert) Grefe of Steeleville and JoAnn (Ronald) Bastien of Murphysboro; four grandchildren, Ryan (Allison) Bastien, Jolene (Mike) Caraker, Mark Fontana and Mary Fontana (William) Burke; one step granddaughter, JoEllen Grefe Boike; 11 great grandchildren, Zachery & Natilie Burke, Austin, Alyssa & Mason Bastien, Kaeli, Avery, Madison, Aiden & Landon Caraker and Sabryn Boike; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her Parents, One Son, Robert Rubach and One Brother, George Jacoby. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. at Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Murphysboro with Bro. Roger Bastien and Rev. Jason Brandon officiating. Visitation will be held at Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Murphysboro on Tuesday from 2 to 3 pm. Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Research. Funeral under auspicies of Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava.
